#CFV - BT10 Jewel Knight Overview

The time has finally come and one of the most awaited booster set in the history of Vanguard is upon us! Like previously mentioned in my blog entry about Angel Feather's CelestialBooster Set 10: Triumphant Return of the King of Knight's order has been switched around with Booster Set 11: Seal Dragons Unleashed by Bushiroad for financial unknown reasons and this is the reason why we waited so long to get our hand on all the new goodies this booster set offers.

Booster Set 10 introduces new archetype support for many of the popular clans at the moment and Jewel Knights, the new archetype for Royal Paladins, is included among them. Similarly to their predecessors, Jewel Knights focus on producing field advantage by superior calling specific units that supports each other from the deck to field. Their way of applying pressure, also taken from the old Royal Paladins, is about attacking with additional critical to rack up the damage quickly and threatening to finish their opponent with a single blow. In short, we can easily say that the Jewel Knight archetype took a little bit of everything from the old Royal Paladins.

#CFV - BT11 Celestial Overview

After Bushiroad decided to release Booster Set 11: Seal Dragons Unleashed before Booster Set 10: Triumphant Return of the King of Knights, I was both sad and hyped at the same time. Sad because it meant that Royal Paladins wouldn't get their new archetype support until holidays, but happy because it also meant that the most over-hyped clans among English players right now would see the light of day a little later during the year in our meta. Diversity has always been a big concern for me, so prolonging the Liberator and Eradicator bandwagon a couple months back is not something I'm going to complain about. The other reason why I was happy about that switch in dates was because I knew this set featured Angel Feather support for it's brand new archetype, so knowing I'd be getting it a couple of months earlier made me pretty excited for it!

Angel Feather's new archetype is called ''Celestial'' and they focus on getting specific cards into the damage zone so that they can get certain effects off when they're on the field - most of them being gaining additional power when attacking. For now, compared to other Angel Feather builds, Celestials are pretty straightforward in term of strategy as they're really only about beating the opponent down with big numbers instead of using their damage zone as a toolbox and making multiple plays from that.

#CFV - BT09 Metatron Deck Analysis

Well, I know I usually do overviews and analysis about new cards/decks either before or a short time after a set comes out in English, but this time around it was a little more difficult for me to come up with a quick article since I haven't really touch Angel Feathers since Booster Set 07: Rampage of the Beast King came out. While it's true that BT07 was the start of Angel Feather's rise as a competitive deck with Shamsiel, I just didn't like the direction Bushiroad took with the clan as a whole. Being a Royal Paladin player at heart, defensive play-style never really appealed to me (Shamsiel was kind of ugly too), so I dropped the deck to focus on Royal Paladins yet again. When Metatron was first spoiled though, my interest for this clan quickly rose back up and after testing her deck a little bit in the Japanese format, I promised myself that I would play her and pick the clan back up once she would be released in English. Here we are now, half a year later, and I'm still hyped to play again with the Angels that I once left and crush fools with that sexy beast called Metatron. So without further ado, let's get right into the analysis of what a Metatron deck would look and play like!

#CFV - BT09 Royal Paladin's Support Overview

With Booster Set 9: Clash of the Knights & Dragons just recently released in America, we can now more concretely talk about how each individual cards and strategy can fare in the meta we're currently in. Though, for Royal Paladin players like myself, this set didn't bring a lot of cards and units to look forward to (Not that I'm complaining). Indeed, Clash of Knights & Dragons only gave us a single card for us to play with in our Royal Paladin decks this time around, but again, the card the set gave us is still a unit worth talking about.

#CFV - MLB Deck Profile (and I'm back!)

After a really long hiatus from playing Vanguard, I am now back blogging about it again! Got myself all the equipment needed for me to record and make videos for Vanguard, so you will be seeing a lot more footage (match videos, deck profiles) coming from me this time around.

As a comeback video, I made a deck profile of the deck I've been playing and testing for quite a while. Although it's true that Majesty Lord Blaster is not something new, It's still a pretty relevant and powerful deck in the current meta so I figured why not show it anyway.

So yeah, be sure to keep in touch with my Youtube channel as I'll be uploading a lot more Vanguard content.
